White water rafting

 

White water rafting in Kullu valley is done on river Beas from Pirdi (4 kms ahead of Kullu town) down to Jhiri, a stretch of approximately 14 kms. (Period Apr 15th-Jun end). The jouney takes nearly one & half hour consisting of rapids from grade II & III. 

Rafting begins at around 10 o' clock in the morning at Pirdi. Pirdi is 45 kms from Manali and hence, recommended starting time from Manali is 8 o'clock. This  activity  will require one full day.

 

Rafting packages

 

The rates given below are in Indian Currency on per person basis

 

1. Rafting only                                               INR 600 per person per trip

 

2. Super Raft Rapid                 

For a minimum of 02 adventurers             INR 1550 per person per trip

For a minimum of 04 adventurers             INR 1150 per person per trip

 

The above Super Raft Rapid package includes:-

  • Rafting one trip for a minimum of 02 or 04 adventurers.

  • Pick up from hotel in Manali in the morning and drop at the hotel in the evening.

  • Transportation by a non-airconditioned Maruti Van with the services of a driver.

  • Lunch at a restaurant after the rafting is over. Lunch will be on fixed menu basis.

  • Sight seeing including a visit to centuries old Bajeshwar Temple (Shiva temple) at Bajaura, Angora Shawl Industry, Kullu Shawl Industry and Vaishno Devi Temple.

Paragliding

 

Paragliding is organized in Kullu valley throughout the year at Solang Valley. There are generally two kind of flights:  

 

1. Short flights : The client is taken 100 - 150 mts up the skiing slope and takes a flight  along with the pilot in the two seater paraglider. The flight lasts for approximately 1 minute.

 

2. High flying : Approximately 20-30 minutes flight and arranged at Dhundi, Kothi and Bijli Mahadev. Mainly for experienced pilots

 

Paragliding packages

 

The rates given below are in Indian Currency on per person basis

 

1. Joy rides at Sollang Valley                       INR 400 per person per trip

 

2. Super Para Adventure                

For a minimum of 02 adventurers             INR 1200 per person per trip

For a minimum of 04 adventurers             INR  825 per person per trip

 

The above Super Para Adventure package includes:-

  • A joy ride at Sollang Valley for a minimum of 02 or 04 adventurers.

  • Pick up from hotel in Manali in the morning and drop at the hotel in the evening.

  • Transportation by a non-airconditioned Maruti Van with the services of a driver.

  • An excursion including a visit to the famous Rohtang Pass, Marhi, Gulaba Camp, Rahla falls, Kothi and Sollang Valley.

Skiing

 

Skiing can be organised at Solang Valley from January to March and at Gulaba, Marhi or Rohtang from April to mid July depending upon snow condition. The clients would be required to have warm clothes, gloves, wollen caps and sun glasses. They should be fit enough to carry the ski equipment (minimum 8 kgs) up the slope to the skiing point.

 

Skiing package

1. Super Skier                

For a minimum of 02 adventurers             INR 1595 per person per trip

For a minimum of 04 adventurers             INR  1395 per person per trip

 

The above Super Skier package includes:-

  • Skiing at snow slope for a minimum of three hours.

  • Pick up from hotel in Manali in the morning and drop at the hotel in the evening.

  • Transportation by a non-airconditioned Jeep  with the services of a driver.

  • An accompanied skiing instructor to impart skiing lessons..

  • Packed lunch including Sandwiches or Pizza or Burger, Juice, Chocolate, Seasonal fruit.
